Senior Security Firmware Engineer – Open Titan RoT product

About The Position

Embedded Firmware Engineer (Open-Titan) - Job Description:

Nuvoton Technology Corporation America, based in Austin Texas, is seeking an experienced RT/Embedded Firmware Developer to join our team, developing and maintaining software infrastructure and open-source contributions for our RoT (Root Of Trust) chip.

As part of our multi-disciplinary group, you’ll help shape and maintain innovative embedded and security solutions for the PC, Servers and cellular markets and contribute to products at the technological forefront.

Responsibilities

•                    Design and develop embedded firmware, infrastructures and provisioning solution for Nuvoton’s RoT chips.

•                    Collaborate with hardware, software, and security teams to deliver robust and secure solutions.

•                    Support certification processes.

•                    Maintain and enhance existing firmware, drivers, crypto libraries and boot loaders.

•                    Participate in design & code reviews, debugging, and system integration.

•                    Support customers to develop new features, bring up new boards and debug issues

•                    Collaborate with community and customers on open-source projects

•        SW knowledge focal point for technical engagements 

Requirements

•                    BSc in Computer Science / Computer Engineering

•                    Advanced degrees (MSc or PhD) – Advantage

•                    Minimum 5 years’ experience in RT/Embedded firmware, driver, and boot loader development

•                    Strong proficiency in C programming

•                    Hands-on experience with bare-metal and/or RTOS environments (e.g., FreeRTOS, ThreadX or Zephyr)

•                    Experience with open-source software development and maintenance

•                    Rust and Go knowledge – Advantage

•                    Experience working with customers - Advantage

•                    Knowledge of cryptography and secure coding – Advantage

•                    Experience with hardware debugging tools (e.g., HW debugger, oscilloscope, logic analyzer) – Advantage

•                    Familiarity with security standardization bodies – Advantage

•                    Independent, ability to quickly learn new technologies and drive execution
